Helena, the Scholar Who Reads What's Written on the Walls
Aviator goggles, fur-lined coat, grimoire in one hand and the other jabbing forward like she's just told a frost giant to sit down. Helena is what happens when a wizard runs out of patience for ivory towers and walks into the wind instead. She's perched on a rune-carved boulder, mid-incantation or mid-lecture — with this sculpt it's hard to tell, and that's the point.
TTRPG Hooks
- The Rival Arcanist (D&D 5e / Pathfinder). Helena's expedition is racing the party to a glacier-buried vault. She's not evil — she's just faster, better funded, and willing to read the cursed inscription out loud to save time. Drop her in as a recurring foil; the party will hate her for two sessions and grudgingly respect her by the third.
- The Loremaster NPC. The party hauls a cracked tablet back to town. Helena is the only person within 200 miles who can read it. Her price isn't gold — it's a favour, cashed in three adventures from now at the worst possible moment.
- Shadowdark / OSR. She's the patron who hires the party to fetch a relic from the Tundra of Silenced Names. Roll 1d6 when they return: on a 1, she's already gone. On a 6, she's waiting with tea and a second job.
- Skirmish & Warband. Field her as the spellcaster centrepiece for a 28mm expedition crew — mercenaries, sled-dogs, a grumpy artificer. Her commanding pose makes her the obvious warband leader without a single conversion.
The Sculpt
Officially licensed from Cosmondo, hand-poured in resin. The detail work earns its keep: every stitch in the fleece collar, every buckle on the belt, every rune cut into the boulder beneath her boots. 25mm base, 32mm scale — drops straight onto the table next to whatever you already own.
Steampunk-frontier vibes mean she scales beyond pure fantasy too: weird-west occult investigator, Frostgrave wizard, Mordheim warband captain, post-apocalyptic scholar-cleric. Paint her dark and serious, or lean into the goggles and go full pulp.
