FAQ

Where is my order?
Rest assured, we are printing, cleaning up and shipping your order as fast as we can. Myth Forged is just the two of us (Sam and Steve) so sometimes in busier periods a bit of a queue can develop. Average dispatch time is 5 days but check the banner at the top of the site for accurate lead times.

What kind of glue should I use?
I use a gel super glue. We sell Loctite on the store as we know it works!
Poly/plastic cement will not work

What prep do I need to do for painting?
The miniatures should be ready for a priming coat, however I'd always recommend a quick wash with warm, soapy water. You can paint directly onto the mini, but I recommend priming.

Why have some of the miniatures come on supports?
I ship delicate or small things with the supports still attached. I've found that things get broken and/or lost if I don't. If you submerge them in hot warm for 15 seconds, most miniatures will peel off the supports really easily. Just go slowly and steadily.

My mini feels sticky/tacky to touch - what's going on?
Sometimes the combination of humidity and the packaging causes the washing solution to make the surface a little tacky. This can be solved with a wash in either isopolyl alcohol, or just hot soapy water. Leave to dry in the sun/warm dry place and they'll be fine.

Introduce a character shrouded in mystery and history to your Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder 2E, or Call of Cthulhu campaigns with the Masked Fighter miniature, a figure that embodies the intrigue of the Venetian carnival merged with the haunting visage of a plague doctor. This unique character, donned in a meticulously detailed carnival costume, conceals his identity behind the beaked mask of a plague doctor, a symbol of a bygone era of mystery and medicine. His attire, rich with the elegance of Venetian style, contrasts starkly with the grim reminder of his mask. Poised like a swordsman of old, he stands ready with a rapier in one hand and a foil in the other, demonstrating his expertise in the art of fencing and his readiness to engage in the dance of combat.

The sculpture of the Masked Fighter captures a moment of calm before the storm, his stance indicative of a seasoned duelist. The plague doctor's mask, with its long beak and glassy eye covers, adds an eerie depth to his character, suggesting a backstory rich with intrigue and perhaps a touch of the macabre. His costume, while elegant, serves as armor in the psychological game of intimidation and deception common to both the masquerade and the duel.

For miniature painting enthusiasts, this Masked Fighter presents an exciting challenge. The contrast between the somber, almost monochromatic tones of the plague doctor mask and the vibrant colors typical of a Venetian carnival costume offers a unique palette to explore. The metallic sheen of the rapier and foil can be highlighted to stand out against the softer textures of his costume, emphasizing the deadly grace of the character. The mask itself, a focal point of the miniature, allows for experimentation with textures and finishes to capture the look of aged leather and cloudy, reflective glass.

Incorporating the Masked Fighter into your TTRPG sessions introduces an element of mystery and drama, whether as a mysterious ally whose knowledge of ancient plagues and secrets can aid the party, an enigmatic adversary whose motives are as concealed as his face, or a neutral figure whose allegiance shifts with the winds of fortune. His presence on the battlefield or in social encounters adds layers of narrative depth, inviting players to peel back the layers of his identity and discover the stories hidden behind the mask.
