FAQ

Where is my order?
Rest assured, we are printing, cleaning up and shipping your order as fast as we can. Myth Forged is just the two of us (Sam and Steve) so sometimes in busier periods a bit of a queue can develop. Average dispatch time is 5 days but check the banner at the top of the site for accurate lead times.

What kind of glue should I use?
I use a gel super glue. We sell Loctite on the store as we know it works!
Poly/plastic cement will not work

What prep do I need to do for painting?
The miniatures should be ready for a priming coat, however I'd always recommend a quick wash with warm, soapy water. You can paint directly onto the mini, but I recommend priming.

Why have some of the miniatures come on supports?
I ship delicate or small things with the supports still attached. I've found that things get broken and/or lost if I don't. If you submerge them in hot warm for 15 seconds, most miniatures will peel off the supports really easily. Just go slowly and steadily.

My mini feels sticky/tacky to touch - what's going on?
Sometimes the combination of humidity and the packaging causes the washing solution to make the surface a little tacky. This can be solved with a wash in either isopolyl alcohol, or just hot soapy water. Leave to dry in the sun/warm dry place and they'll be fine.

This miniature brings to life a worldly merchant, an individual steeped in mystery and charm, who traverses the lands peddling his wares from a unique wooden backpack that doubles as his shop. Clad in attire reminiscent of the Venice Carnival, his outfit is both flamboyant and functional, adorned with intricate designs and vibrant colors that catch the eye and spark curiosity. In one hand, he holds a cane, a tool that aids his travels and serves as a symbol of his worldly experience. His fatherly beard adds a touch of wisdom and warmth to his demeanor, inviting trust and conversation from those he encounters on his journey.

The sculpture of the Travelling Merchant of Curios is meticulously detailed to capture the essence of his trade and personality. The wooden backpack is a marvel of miniature craftsmanship, with tiny compartments and displays that hint at the treasures within—rare artifacts, magical trinkets, and mysterious relics collected from across the world. The Venice Carnival styling of his clothing is carefully rendered, with flowing fabrics and ornate decorations that tell a story of his travels and the cultures he has embraced. The cane and the beard are sculpted to complement his seasoned traveller vibe, making him not just a merchant but a storyteller and a guide to the wonders of the fantastical world.

For miniature painting enthusiasts, this Travelling Merchant of Curios presents an exciting challenge. The wooden backpack offers a chance to explore wood grain textures and aging techniques, bringing out the character and history of the merchant's mobile shop.
