The scholar who has already read the chapter you skipped.

An older gentleman in a tailored three-piece suit stands with calm authority, an open book held in one hand and a pen poised in the other. A pocket watch chain drapes across his waistcoat, a flower pinned to his lapel, and every crease of the jacket and trousers is sharply defined in high-resolution resin. His weathered, knowing face does the rest of the talking.

Put him on the table as a university lecturer, a rival expert, a helpful informant or a patron with a dark secret. He is a ready-made investigator or quest-giver for modern, historical and mystery games, and he looks superb primed and painted in tweed and wool tones.

• Open book and pen held in a natural lecturing pose
• Detailed three-piece suit with pocket watch chain and lapel flower
• Expressive, weathered face with swept-back hair
