FAQ

Where is my order?
Rest assured, we are printing, cleaning up and shipping your order as fast as we can. Myth Forged is just the two of us (Sam and Steve) so sometimes in busier periods a bit of a queue can develop. Average dispatch time is 5 days but check the banner at the top of the site for accurate lead times.

What kind of glue should I use?
I use a gel super glue. We sell Loctite on the store as we know it works!
Poly/plastic cement will not work

What prep do I need to do for painting?
The miniatures should be ready for a priming coat, however I'd always recommend a quick wash with warm, soapy water. You can paint directly onto the mini, but I recommend priming.

Why have some of the miniatures come on supports?
I ship delicate or small things with the supports still attached. I've found that things get broken and/or lost if I don't. If you submerge them in hot warm for 15 seconds, most miniatures will peel off the supports really easily. Just go slowly and steadily.

My mini feels sticky/tacky to touch - what's going on?
Sometimes the combination of humidity and the packaging causes the washing solution to make the surface a little tacky. This can be solved with a wash in either isopolyl alcohol, or just hot soapy water. Leave to dry in the sun/warm dry place and they'll be fine.

Step into a realm where dark fantasy meets grotesque beauty with the Malformed Drider miniature, an exceptional addition to your Dungeons and Dragons, Pathfinder 2E, or Call of Cthulhu campaigns. This figure melds the terrifying aspects of a drider with unique mutations, featuring wings that extend ominously from its back and a mere four spider-like legs that support its imposing frame. The heavily armored torso of this drider reflects a warrior's readiness and resilience, while the flowing robes add a touch of sinister elegance, suggesting a being of high status or powerful magic. Armed and prepared for combat, this drider wields its weapon with a menacing grace, ready to unleash its fury upon any who dare challenge it.

The sculpture captures the duality of the drider's nature, blending the monstrous with the martial. The wings, an unusual adaptation even among driders, suggest a connection to darker, perhaps demonic, powers, adding an air of mystery and danger. The reduction to four spider-like legs, while making it less arachnid, does not diminish its threat; instead, it enhances the creature's unique silhouette and mobility, suggesting a deadly agility. The armored torso and weapons are detailed to reflect both the drider's combat prowess and its alien aesthetic, with textures and designs that hint at a culture steeped in darkness and warfare.

For miniature painting enthusiasts, the Malformed Drider offers a canvas rich with potential. The armored sections call for metallic paints and techniques to highlight their protective gleam, contrasted against the naturalistic or even necrotic textures of the drider's flesh. The wings provide an opportunity for creativity, whether painting them with a leathery texture reminiscent of bats or with iridescent colors that shimmer unnaturally. The flowing robes can be painted to suggest otherworldly elegance, using colors that complement or contrast with the drider's dark nature. The weapon, a focal point of the drider's readiness for battle, can be detailed to suggest enchantments or the wear of countless conflicts.

Incorporating this Malformed Drider into your TTRPG sessions introduces a formidable adversary or a complex character whose motives and origins can add layers of intrigue to your story. Whether as a cursed noble of the underdark, a champion of a dark deity, or a mercenary whose loyalty is as shifting as its form, this drider enriches the narrative landscape. Its presence challenges players to confront not just its martial might but also the mysteries of its existence, weaving tales of horror, beauty, and battle into the fabric of your game world.
