Three TTRPG Hooks
The Spore Tithe. A duergar mining outpost has gone quiet. The drow merchants who supply it want to know why before their rivals do. The party arrives to find the entire complex carpeted in luminous fungus and every miner standing very, very still — eyes open, lungs working, lips moving in unison. Whatever's growing here is thinking, and it would like to negotiate.
The Wet Market. Deep below a port city, a guild of fungus-tamers runs a black market in living curiosities — gooey caps that whisper prophecies, blister mushrooms that pop with a dose of remove disease, succulent fronds rumoured to extend a life by a decade. The party's contact has gone missing mid-transaction. The merchandise is still hungry.
The Rounded Stone That Wasn't. A dwarf scout swears the boulder she camped beside last night was not there this morning. She's correct. Something the size of a cottage is moving through these tunnels, leaving trails of damp moss and a trail of very pleasant-smelling sleep. The party has roughly six hours before whatever's herding it catches up.
