Dragonbane

Dragonbane is Free League's approachable old-school fantasy RPG - a cleaned-up spiritual successor to the Swedish classic Drakar och Demoner, built around quick character creation, a forgiving skill system, and the "mirthful and grim" tone that suits a Sunday afternoon campaign or a one-shot with your non-roleplaying friends. Misty Vale is the starter setting, but the system works beautifully for any classic fantasy campaign you want to drop it into.
