What It Is

This is an elderly commoner caught mid-stride, wielding a bundle of firewood like a club. He's clearly having a bad day. The sculpt captures that particular flavour of righteous fury you see in someone who's finally had enough - wild, unkempt hair, a ragged beard, torn and threadbare clothes barely hanging on. His muscular build suggests a lifetime of manual labour, and his aggressive stance makes it clear he's not interested in a civilised conversation. The wood bundle is chunky enough to do some damage, and his expression sells the whole torch-wielding mob vibe without actually holding a torch.

At The Table

Perfect for any scenario where things have gone sideways with the locals. In D&D 5e or Pathfinder 2e, he's the face of an angry mob storming the manor house after the Lord raised taxes one time too many. Maybe the party has to decide whether to defend the nobility or join the commoners. In a Call of Cthulhu investigation, he's the tavern keeper who's seen something he shouldn't have and is now wielding firewood against cultists - or possibly against the investigators if they've been asking too many questions.

For something grittier like Blades in the Dark or a Dolmenwood session, he works brilliantly as collateral damage personified. The crew's heist went loud, a fire broke out, and now this bloke's lost his livelihood and wants blood. He's not a guard or a soldier - he's just a working-class victim who's angrier and more dangerous than any professional because he's got nothing left to lose. Give him a name, give him a family the players accidentally harmed, and watch them squirm when they realise violence isn't always the answer.

He's also solid gold for Shadowdark or OSE when you need a memorable NPC in a pinch. The party arrives in a village to find him arguing with the local priest, or leading a group of workers who refuse to enter the haunted mine. Quick stat block, a bit of personality, and suddenly your random encounter has teeth.
