Creator: Arch Villain Games | From £34.99
Some miniatures land on the table and the whole room goes quiet. The Alluring Vampire Matriarch from Arch Villain Games is one of those. At gargantuan scale — 100mm base, 32mm proportions — she doesn’t just represent a powerful villain. She is the campaign.
The sculpt channels the mythic archetype of the progenitor vampire — think Lilith, or the first noble to make a deal with something ancient and terrible. Her regal attire is layered and deliberate, the kind of detail that rewards a careful painter. Her expression sits right at the edge between grace and predation, which is exactly where the best vampire characters live.
Bring Her to the Table
Here are three ways to drop her into your campaign:
- The Power Behind the Throne: The party’s noble patron has been acting strangely for weeks. Investigating his manor reveals a hidden chamber — and an ancient agreement sealed in blood. She’s been managing this city’s politics for three centuries. The duke is just her current instrument.
- The Arbiter: Two vampire factions are about to go to war in the undercity, which will spill into the streets above. The party is summoned to serve as neutral witnesses to a negotiation she’s brokered. Neither faction wants to cross her. The players may not understand why until it’s too late.
- Inheritance: A vampire hunter the party trusted has died, and left them a sealed letter. Inside: a debt. He owed her, and now they do. She’s not hostile — she’s patient. And she has a job that requires mortals.
Painting Notes
The layered fabric is calling for deep jewel tones — midnight purples and blood reds with near-black shadows. Her skin is a canvas for OSL work if you want to suggest bioluminescence or the cold light of a crypt. The 100mm base gives you room to build a scene: flagstones, a shattered mirror, a goblet on its side. She’ll anchor a whole diorama.
This is a centrepiece miniature. Give her centrepiece treatment.
