What It Is

This dwarf's mid-charge, one leg forward, double-headed axe raised overhead in a two-handed grip. The braided beard flows back with the momentum, and there's runic detailing on the breastplate with a circular emblem at the chest. The sculpt's got that classic dwarven stockiness — thick boots, layered armor that looks functional rather than decorative, and an axe that's comically oversized in the best possible way. The facial expression reads "about to ruin someone's day."

At The Table

Perfect for a rage-focused PC who opens every fight by sprinting straight at the biggest threat. This is the dwarf who charges the ogre while the wizard's still deciding which spell slot to burn. In D&D 5e, this works brilliantly as a Path of the Zealot barbarian with the Charger feat — mechanically rewarded for doing exactly what the pose suggests. For Pathfinder 2e players, this screams Fury Instinct with the Sudden Charge feat, letting you cover ground and swing in the same action.

Story-wise, the runic armor and emblem suggest clan heritage — maybe an heirloom set passed down through generations of berserkers, or a sacred symbol of a god of war. In a Dolmenwood campaign, this could be a Grimalkin dwarf (if your table allows the furry variant) who's abandoned their usual subtlety for pure violence. For a Shadowdark one-shot, drop this as a possessed villager mid-transformation into something worse — the runes aren't protection, they're a summoning in progress.

The raised axe works great for ambush encounters too. Party rounds a corner, sees this silhouette backlit by torchlight, already mid-swing. Roll initiative. In Call of Cthulhu, this could be a 1920s academic who's found a cursed Viking artifact and is now cosplaying as their own ancestor — badly.

Printed in high-quality resin. Supplied unpainted. 25mm base, 32mm scale.
