What It Is
A 15-piece collection of coastal terrain designed by Cast 'N Play, covering the essentials for shoreline encounters. You get rocks in various sizes, driftwood logs, tidal pools, weathered pier sections, and sandy embankments. The pieces range from scatter terrain up to larger focal elements, all with that wind-worn coastal texture that reads well on the table without overwhelming your minis.
At The Table
Coastal encounters are criminally underused. Everyone does forests and dungeons, but a smuggler's cove ambush or a beached sea monster investigation hits different. For D&D 5e or Pathfinder, this bundle gives you instant setup for sahuagin raids, coastal village defence scenarios, or tracking down that cursed shipwreck the locals won't talk about. Scatter the tidal pools and rocks to create natural cover, use the driftwood as barricades or obstacles for chase scenes across the beach.
Works brilliantly for Call of Cthulhu's New England fishing villages—Innsmouth didn't have nice clean streets, it had rotting piers and suspicious tide marks. For something more fantasy, run a Dolmenwood session where the party investigates strange lights on the Shores of Sorrow, or a Blades in the Dark score lifting contraband from Doskvol's industrial waterfront. The bundle's versatile enough to work bare on a table or dress up a printed ocean mat.
Pirates, treasure hunters, coastal raids, ritual sites where the tide matters for timing—this terrain sells the setting without you having to describe every rock. Just put it down and your players get it.
